FIRST STOP: DIE HARD In the workers neigborhood known
as “Lavapies” a XIX century tavern struggles to
survive in the XXI century. What was one of the most
traditional parts of Madrid has become a China town where
textile Chinese shops rule. Most taverns in this area have
disapperared but this one has not for one reason: It makes
the best Cocido Madrileņo in the city. Cocido is one of the two
most traditional Madrid dishes. We will taste it with another classic:
Vermut on tap.
